"We Are Not Afraid Of France"-Yobo,Enyeama

yobo Super Eagles Captain Joseph Yobo, defender Efe Ambrose and goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama have said Nigeria will go past France on Monday because “we want to go higher” at the World Cup.

The Super Eagles tackle the impressive France in Brasilia and Ambrose said the African champions are looking beyond the round of 16.

Nigeria and France have clashed only once at full international level with the African champions running away 1-0 winners in a friendly staged in Saint Etienne five years ago.

“We are ready to face France in the round of 16 of the ongoing world cup. We desire to go higher as we can,” he said.

Ambrose said it took Lionel Messi’s magic to beat the Eagles.

“We played to win and I must commend my teammates for a great game, we played well but we lost.

Argentina have to thank Lionel Messi for this victory because it took his magic to beat us,” he said. Yobo said they are aware that Monday’s clash will be a winner-takes-all game. “They are a very good team, but we go into the game with confidence because we know it is a winner takes all.” Super Eagles Goal Keeper "Vicent Enyeama" said that after advancing beyond the group stage for only the third time, the team know it will be a different ball game against France. “The next round is a completely different ball game and we will approach it as such,” he said.
