Wizkid, Davido Tiwa Savage, others get nominated for 2014 MOBO awards + Full List

Nigerian musical acts are beginning to get more recognition for their hardwork and their entertainment prowess. Mobo awards,Davido,wizkid,tiwasavage A couple of OUR stars have been nominated for ‘Best African Act category’ for the 2014 MOBOAwards. Nigerians nominated for the Awards are our very own Davido, Dr Sid, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid and Yemi Alade. Other African music stars that also got nominated in the same category includes Afrikan Boy, DJ Clock, Fuse ODG, Mafikozolo, and Mista Silva.

In 2007, Nigerian pop act, 2face Idibia clinched the MOBO award for Best African act, a feat matched by 9ice in 2008,Nnekain 2009, South African act, K’Naan in 2010 as well as Wizkid in 2011, D’banj in 2012 and Ghanaian Pop star, Fuse ODG in 2013.

At the moment, Nigeria’s Davido is hinted to be most likely to pick up the gong.

The awards ceremony will be held in London at the SSE Arena, Wembley on 22 October.
